The GLCR club offers its members two training pathways. The first pathway is organised under the auspices of the FLV (Luxembourg Sailing Federation) in the form of modules, with the aim of improving sailing knowledge. These courses are certified by Certificates and demonstrate the performance level of the crew member or skipper. The VHF radio module (Sprechfunk) is organised in cooperation with the ILR (Luxembourg Institute of Regulation).
The second training pathway, under the authority of the Ministry of the Economy and Foreign Trade, leads to the sea and coastal licence plus, the only licence recognised for operating a pleasure craft under the Luxembourg flag. This training serves as a basis for further developing skills in the Certificate B and C training programmes.
